China Signs Billion Pound Deal With Africa

China – Ministers signed 16 deals with African nations worth a total of 1 Billion pounds at a trade conference in  Beijiing, China. The deal involves 11 countries and covers area such as Telecom, Infrastructure and Technology development, Mineral resource development and insurance. It is thought Nigeria might be one of the countries involved in the deal. The deal is in line with China’s commitment to a close relationship with African nations as it seeks energy to support its rapidly growing raw material-intensive economy. The fourth largest economy in the world, China is the second largest energy consumer.
