24-year Sentence for Enron Boss

Jeffrey Skilling, former Enron Chief Executive, has been sentenced to 24 years following his role in the fraud that led to the collapse of the energy firm in 2001.

He had been found guilty on 19 counts including fraud, conspiracy and insider trading in May. He had been convicted together with Enron's ex-chairman Kenneth Lay whose convictions were quashed as he has since died of a heart attack in July.
