Glo Introduces Voice Short Messaging Service

Glo Mobile has announced the introduction of Voice Short Messaging Service (voice-SMS), a package which allows subscribers to record, send and receive voice messages. The service, the first of its kind in Nigeria , is a “talk and listen” messaging alternative to the regular “type and read” service provided by short messaging service (SMS).

A spokesperson for the company said “Glo voice-SMS is one more demonstration of Glo’s commitment to meeting the changing needs of our customers.It is an affordable and easy messaging medium that allows subscribers to communicate with one another quickly and efficiently and in a fun-filled manner. The new service has the advantage of conveying the sender’s mood, passion and emotion along with the voice message, which the conventional SMS does not do.”
