A property investment workshop held on Friday 22nd June in Port Harcourt brought together members of NIESV (Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyors and Valuers) as well as other key players within Nigeria’s property industry.

This one day Home Buyer’s workshop organised by NigeriaPropertyIndex featured seminars on property investment opportunities in South Africa, the United Kingdom and Calabar. It also featured a seminar on the role of Information Technology in facilitating Nigeria’s property industry.

Speaking at the close of the workshop at Novotel Hotel, Mr. Iso Bassey, C.E.O. of NigeriaPropertyIndex expressed delight at how well the workshop was received. “The responses and feedback we have received from attendees has been fantastic. This event has been a huge success. We shall in the near future be looking to take this event to other cities across the country.” said Bassey.

According to Bassey, NigeriaPropertyIndex aims to use Information Technology to facilitate Nigeria’s property market. This website enables property companies who integrate with it to advertise their properties to a wider market via the World Wide Web.

Also in attendance at the event was the Chairman of NIESV, Cross Rivers State chapter, Mr. Oka Ipia who spoke about the effect of tourism and the Tinapa Business Resort on the property market and the economy of Calabar as a whole.
