Czech President, Nigeria Look At Closer Ties

The Czech Republic's President Vaclav Klaus arrived on Thursday in Abuja for a three-day official visit to Nigeria, where he would hold talks with President Olusegun Obasanjo, officials have said.

Klaus would discuss trade, technology, economic co-operation and international politics during his meeting with Obasanjo and some top Nigerian officials, they said.

During his trip, Klaus would travel to some places outside Abuja, the federal capital, such as Kano, northern Nigeria's most populous city, officials said.

A former finance minister and senate president, Klaus came into office as president in February 2003
