Lagos International Trade Fair Opens

International Trade Fair Complex, Lagos.

The 20th Lagos International Trade Fair was opened in Lagos on Friday. Femi Deru, Vice President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) that organizes the fair, said the fair would attract about 800 exhibitors who "have either confirmed or are putting finishing touches to their participation at the fair." Deru, also Chairman of the LCCI's Trade Promotion Board, said many state governments had also shown interest in the fair more than ever before, adding that "more foreign exhibitors will definitely take part at the fair." The fair to be staged at the Lagos State Trade Fair Complex, about 20 km west from downtown Lagos metropolis is scheduled to be declared closed on Nov. 12 by Lagos State Governor Bola Tinubu.
