Arik To Get Four Planes At $104m

Arik Air  is set to take a delivery of four Q400 turboprop airliners from Bombardier Aerospace of Canada.
The deal, confirmed yesterday by Bombardier, is valued at about $104 million.

Arik Air already owns four Bombardier CRJ900 regional jets and three CRJ200 regional jets.
The airline flies seven routes in Nigeria, with plans to add four more by the end of the year.

"We require the Q400 airliner especially for our Lagos-Port Harcourt service because of airstrip landing restrictions that eliminate the use of jet aircraft on this route," Arik Air chief executive Michael McTighe said in a release.
