A-Save, Afribank Nigeria Plc has appointed 260 more agents to market A-save, a product meant to enhance saving culture of the people. The Bank assured that it would continue to appoint more agents to satisfy demands of the customers.
The product has point of Sales (PoS) terminals that enable accredited agents to take deposits from customers in their offices, markets, homes and at any location daily, weekly or monthly to suit customer preferences.
The Bank through the product has succeeded in segmenting savings among the low and medium income groups as over N0.5billion has been realised. The product removes the hassles of taking deposits to banking halls by customers. This enables customers to concentrate on their businesses and other engagements.
The product has a robust and flexible banking application, Globus, which the bank deploys and constantly upgrades to guarantee seamless connections.
With A-Save, traders, artisans, drivers, okada riders and professionals now have access to quality banking from Afribank in their locations. A-Save mobilises funds in the informal sector and it encourages banking habits among Nigerians, especially in the rural areas.
To attract the low and upper end of the market, A-Save Account can be opened with =N=100.00. It has inbuilt security and safety features which make funds deposited through it well secured, though easily accessible by subscribers.
Each deposit is immediately captured in the bank’s customer account data base while an SMS alert is sent to the depositor’s GSM handset. Depositors can withdraw from their savings at any of the branches of the Bank nationwide.
A-Save account holders also enjoy convenience, extended banking hours, flexible deposit option, high interest yield, credit facilities and access to other Afribank services.
